As the government gave its nod to the resumption of movie shooting again from 15 June, 2021 after several months Lockdown, the show on Punjabi entertainment industry’s front had begun again as the shooting of several new projects was kick- started,  the shooting of many previously halted movies made  completed and  the release updates of many ready to release movies are in the spotlight again.  A similar instance occurred when the Punjabi filmmaker Smeep Kang hinted about his planning to release his web series in September on YouTube .

The name of the web series is ki Banu Punia Da and the director shared this with one of his followers during their interaction on a picture posted by Smeep on his Instagram account. Ki Banu Punia da is a comedy Saga which stars Babbal Rai , Jaswinder Bhalla, Arsh Kahlon, Dilawar Sidhu , Sairakshita , etc.  in pivotal roles. As per Reports, the director already completed the first phase of its shooting  before the lockdown and now the post production work of the same is under the desk . Along with directing the series, Smeep Kang has bankrolled the web series in collaboration with Balwinder Kahlon as well.  As per reports, the official exact date of release for the web series will be announced very soon and the audience will be informed by the makers once they make a final decision as per the demand of the situation .
