The year 2020-2021 was having a different and unexpected plan for  Punjabi Cinema and Punjabi filmmakers as many of their movies went on waiting to release on big screens as theatres were set to shut off .The Punjabi movie Gol Gappe is one of these movies who is in the same waiting queue  . Coming to the credits of the movie, it is directed by Smeep Kang, it has been bankrolled by Rohit Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Pankaj Trehan, and Ashu Munish Sahni. Binnu Dhillon and Nirmal Rishi will be seen as the sole main characters of the movie around whom the whole story of the movie revolves.

Further, besides Binnu Dhillon and Nirmal Rishi , the rest of the details of the cast have been kept under the wraps. The movie will be released under the banner of  Rangezaa Films which along with Rohit Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar in association with Omjee Star Studios and Smeep Kang Productions have bankrolled the movie.

Smeep Kang who is busy these days working on his web project ki Banu Punia Da, has directed the movie in addition to the production of the same. The movie was expected to roll the big camera and silver screen on 17 September,  2021 but a lot of uncertainties have paved the way due to lockdown and theatres shutting off for the second time. However, the audience is much eager to watch their favourite upcoming movies in theatres with a positive hope and expectations.
