Amid The lockdown crisis and theatres shut off, punjabi cinema is witnessing stagnant  growth as no new movies are able to be released in theatres  . Meanwhile, the Web Series and other OTT content have proved themselves  successful in keeping the audience engaged and entertained . Therefore, more and more filmmakers are opting for OTT content and online release of their Projects to keep the audience Excited.

Recently the famous punjabi web series Yaar jigree Kasuti Degree season 2 was released on YouTube which received a great response from the audience after the first season’s marvellous success. Also, Punjabi Filmmaker Smeep Kang has also announced his first ever punjabi web series Ki Banu Punia Da starring Babbal Rai , Jaswinder Bhalla, Arsh Kahlon.

The shooting of the web series was Started in February 2021 with a successful  first phase ending. The shooting of the web series was completed in the Third quarter of 2021 and the web series is expected to be released by the end of the year on his official YouTube channel ‘ Smeep Kang ‘  . Several more announcements are yet to be made but it is sure that punjabi cinema specially Punjabi comedy loving audiences are going to witness marvellous content in no time which will be surely a high voltage drama  with a perfect blend of comedy, fun , entertainment , excitement and moreover will be a complete family entertainment package which can be enjoyed by all the age groups of audiences. Another web series which is getting ready to serve the Audience is ‘ Zila Sangrur’ .
