Vivek shauq reportedly died on 11 January , 2011 of cardiac arrest in Mumbai’s Thane. The 47-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest when he went to Thane to see someone for minor work. Shauq had Reportedly worked in over 50 films and was survived by his wife and three children. Vivek Shauq started his acting career with Punjabi theatre and later he debuted with TV serial ‘Ulta Pulta’ with Jaspal Bhatti. He was the follower of the Sant Nirankari Mission and was an important part of the group. He was one of the founders of the famous ‘Nonsense Club’ also .Vivek Shaug had established himself as a versatile actor and worked in more than 70 Hindi and Punjabi movies in his career. He was good at Hindi, English, Punjabi as well as Urdu. He also appeared in various TV commercials.
Vivek Shauq was a close friend of his co- actor late Jaspal Bhatti. He was also called Jaspal Bhatti’s right-hand sometimes. Allegedly, he was not happy with his weight and went through a weight loss surgery on 3rd of January 2011, but the operation did not go well, which led him to the state of coma, and on the 10th of the same month , he died due to a heart attack. He is much famous for his role as Sunny Deol’s ‘ friend in Gadar : ek Prem katha ‘ .
