He is the one who introduced the vogue of Comedy romance drama in pollywood which proved as a breakthrough in the versatility and  most adored choice content for Punjabi industry by the audiences. Having worked as an actor, producer, director and writer in lots of Punjabi films, the director has earned unique recognition and respect in the industry.

Smeep rose to fame with his directorial comedy ‘Carry On Jatta’ in 2012 and the film is ready with its threequel to release next year. Smeep has given a bunch of laughter and entertainment filled movies to the Punjabi cinema. He is the true rockstar behind the camera, polishing actors for the audience and giving them the best movies in Pollywood. Although the director is all ready to go with his already prepared movies like Jeonde Raho bhoot ji , welcome Bhua ji , Gol Gappe , Bai Ji Kuttange,  etc.  but now carrying his legacy forward to new Platform of Opportunities with OTT and realising the need of the hour , the director is coming with his first web project , a comedy web series Titled as ‘ ki Banu Punia Da‘ in September 2021

. The director is planning to stream it on the free YouTube platform so that it can reach his fans and mass audience without any extra expenses.
