The crisis of lockdown has hit hard on the entertainment industry worldwide whether it is Bollywood ,  Hollywood or Pollywood .Amid these,  the most affected project was filmmaking as all the films which were supposed to release in theatres are now choosing OTT platform film releasing at compromised costs.  Talking about Pollywood , there is only single Punjabi movie released which was by Ranjiv Singla productions ‘ kuriyan Jawan bapu Preshan ‘ which hit the theatres for one day.  After that , the movie went to stream online at YouTube and was successful to gain 15 million views in a very short time. This trend and success of OTT and online content releasing has inspired filmmakers  to go ahead for such types of content and web series for the audience.  Therefore the famous Punjabi filmmaker and actor Smeep Kang also decided  to come up with his first ever OTT  project ‘Ki  Banu Punia Da’ , a comedy web series .

The shooting of the same began in Feb 2021 and was completed by the third quarter of the year. The Poster and trailer for the webseries have been released and you can watch the trailer on Smeep Kang’s Official Youtube Channel. The web series is highly expected to be released at the soon on his official YouTube channel. Along with this , many other Punjabi contents are coming forth like yaar jigri kasuti degree series,  Zila Sangrur , etc . All such web series are much awaited by the Punjabi audiences to be released  and enjoyed shortly.
