The actor Badri Nath Sharma aka BN Sharma,  has become one of the favourite comedy actors from the punjabi film industry with his excellent comedy and comic dailogue delivery skills. The actor has  managed to work in more than 70 movies so far. The actor was born in Delhi in a family which was originally from Gujranwala. It is said that His parents wanted him to pursue his career in engineering and initially, they have not appreciated his decision to enter into the films and theatre. He worked as a police constable in Chandigarh for 25 years. While serving as a constable, he simultaneously began exploring his acting career by participating in theatre. He managed to complete 40-45 films during the service. He began his career in a Punjabi soap, Jeb Katre on Jalandhar Doordarshan and comedy serial Flop Show.

He has also worked in Sunny Deol starrer Bollywood movie ‘Gadar, Ek Prem katha’ . He is known for his roles in such films as Mahaul Theek Hai, Jatt and Juliet and Carry On Jatta, Ardaas, Ishq Brandy, Bhaji in Problem, Manje Bistre series , Vaisakhi list and numerous of much more .

The last movie in which he was seen  is Naukar Vahuti da which is directed by Smeep Kang. His upcoming movies include Bai Ji Kuttange, Gol Gappe, etc . He has won the Best Actor in a Comic Role award at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. According to him, Punjab Government must do something beneficial for Punjabi cinema.
