The veteran Comedian and actress Upasana Singh who was last seen on big and small screens with the Punjabi movie Naukar Vahuti da and TV comedy show gangs of filmistaan respectively,  is going to mark her debut as the movie Producer and Director shortly in the Punjabi film industry.

The names of these movies are ‘Yaaran diyan paun Baaran’  And ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’. Upasana will debut as a director with  Yaaran diyan Paun Baaran and Her debut productions will be Bai Ji Kuttange. Meanwhile, Upasana has  started shooting for the  film ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’ , which also stars her son, Nanak. Helmed by Smeep Kang, the film stars Dev Kharoud and Nanak in lead roles and also stars actress Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu besides Gurpreet Ghuggi and Upasana Singh as pivotal characters. Nanak has already debuted in films with Upasana Singh’s directorial debut ‘Yaaran Diya Paun  Baaran’. ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’ is a family-comedy that promises to send the audience into splits. While much information is not revealed yet about yaaran diyan paun Baaran , her other movie Bai Ji Kuttange has received a great buzz in the industry and the other promotional platforms.

For this movie, Smeep Kang has donned the director’s hat, while it is being bankrolled by Santosh Entertainment Studios. The DOP of the movie is Shiv Shakti. As Action comedy is not one of the much-explored genres of movies in Pollywood. Thus, ‘Bai Ji Kuttange’ might bring something refreshing to the audience. Further, the makers haven’t revealed the release date of the movie, so we are not sure whether it will be hitting the big screens in 2021 or not. We will have to wait for an update to know the same.
